From Heartbreak to Healing
When I visit a website, I look for value. It's a WIIFM (What's In It For Me) experience. That value could be in the form of insight, information or inspiration. If I don't find what I need, I move on. If I do find what I need, I use it to create a better life for myself, and to create value in the life of another. I do my best to pay it forward.
This site is no different. You came here looking for something you could use to create benefit in your life. In this case, to see if anything I offer can help you move forward in your grief journey. Perhaps it will, perhaps it won't, but by being here you're looking for answers. You're saying, "I feel bad, but I don't want to feel bad forever. I want to smile again." Healing is a choice, just as not to heal is a choice. You're trying, congratulate yourself.
Since this site is built for you and your healing, I'll delve briefly into my story in My Journey. Available to you are Articles for Healing and Poems for Healing, written as my way of bleeding out the poison of my deep grief, and to inspire hope in you during your path through the clouds of your journey. There's sunshine behind the clouds, representing the return of your smile and the return of the life of your loved one through your memories, their life force and your love. You must do your work, you must walk through the clouds to get to the sunshine. There is no other way. You must become a fighter if you want to fully live again.
There's also, Share With Me, a place for you to express yourself in any (and I mean any) words you'd like.
I created this site to let those of you who are newly bereaved, or who have struggled for a while, to know that if you do your work, you can recapture your smile and move From Heartbreak to Healing. You can recapture the life of your loved one and lead a good life. It won't be the life you once had when your loved one was physically with you, but through letting go, acceptance and forgiveness, when someone asks how you're doing, you can say, "I'm doing good."
The picture at the top of the page symbolizes new life and growth, his hands forming a heart, nurturing that new life. It symbolizes you and me as we take on the challenges of our lives and grow towards a deeper, richer, more colorful, fulfilling and vibrant life. It can happen. Make it happen!
